What do you do if you want to steal someone’s door code, bank card PIN, safe combination, etc., when you can’t watch them enter it, and checking fingerprints afterwards is too inconvenient? Just take a thermal image after they’ve left.

Or, in the case of my current living arrangements, just look to see which keys on the pad have their labels worn off…
Well, the thermal image has the advantage of giving you the order of the keypresses too :-)
Reduces 24 possibilities to 1! (Well, more likely to 2 or 3, given that you may not get the exact right sequence on the first try, but should be close).
Obviously assuming a four-digit code without repeated digits. :)
