This is what the first day of spring looks like in Ottawa:
Someone on IRC commented “You can tell it’s spring because there’s snow and fog,” but no, that’s just snow. 10-15cm in the last two days, in fact, after a couple weeks of 5-10 C temperatures.
Remember to count the number of newspapers that run an equinox story about making an egg stand on its end.
(I’m reading Martin Gardner’s Did Adam and Eve have navels? right now, and there’s a good section in there about egg-standing and pseudoscience in the news.)

You could be in Florida. I have to run the airconditioner right now, or its so hot I can’t breathe.
This is the first I’ve heard about standing an egg on its end on the vernal equinox. Maybe it’s a good thing that I generally ignore the news if this sort of thing is what you get.
OH! that’s right. spring has sprung!
as i’ve said two or three times already today, the weather is AWESOMELY beautiful here today.
it is clear as a bell (due to 30-60mph winds for the entire past week), about 70-80f (depending if you’re at the beach or in the valley), bright and sunny!
you’re pic is busting my warm and comfy high!
;)
wait, i did forget to acknowledge how beautiful that pic LOOKS though!
;)
If it makes you feel any better, it was 19 degrees (farenheit) outside last night in GEORGIA.
