I wish I was still in Montreal — I’d have been applying to HEC and McGill myself, although I’m wondering how much McGill’s program will be in flux as they move from a 16-month program to a 12-month. McGill was my undergrad school, though, so I’ve got a soft spot for it.

It was tempting to apply there anyhow, but relocating wasn’t much of an option right now. (The right offer on the other side of the MBA might make it one, mind you! But not just for school.)

Right now I need to get my ass in gear and my letter of intent for Ottawa U done. Good luck with your other applications!

Kind of same profile here: GMAT 710/6.0 and applying to McGill, HEC Montreal and INSEAD.

Got the “You’re in” Email from HEC about 10 days after submitting my application, with a nice $5,000 scholarship on top. Visited the building/met the people there a few days ago during a one-week winter break.

Expecting McGill in 2 to 3 weeks.
INSEAD R3 ongoing.

Reading about the essay in particular reminded me of why I don’t like standardized testing.
